What is something you wish you could get into (because everyone around you is into it, or whatever reason) but just can't seem to care about?

Any fandom. Idk what happened but I keep trying shows and movies and games and books and I enjoy them but I just can't find that fandom spark anymore. I miss the community and making friends that seemed so easy when you had a common fandom passion.

Torchwood. Most of the Who fandom seems to love it, but I just couldn't get into it.

Comics as a media format. It just doesn't work for me normally. Not sure why as I like certain newspaper comics like Far Side. But when it comes to actually enjoying a story, I just can't get into it.

As a woman in her thirties, I wish I were married with kids. Not because I'm interested in either of those things, but because that feels like the only way to have a social life at my age.

It gets a bit better in your 40s. You’re not surrounded on all sides by people whose lives revolve around small children and the growing pains of evolving family life.

Is there any way for you to find different group of friends? I am surrounded by mostly fandom queer, or childfree etc people and it never was a problem for me. Also some of friend's children are adults or almost adults so they are just extra cool people in my life and not children

Same. I'm childfree and arguably marriage-free (but do want to date, and either of these are a turn-off), but it seems like everyone IRL in their 30s-early 40s is the opposite.

FF14 and Pokémon.

I don't like the mandatory monthly subscription (okay, yes, they do give you a LOT of game/story before that point, but still) for playing FF14 because I have no idea how long I'll want to commit, and I'll likely just keep it going whether I play or not.

I just can't with Pokémon, even when I was a kid. Seems like a chore. Oddly, I don't mind Pokémon-themed games.

Most active fandoms. I keep getting into shows and books that don't really have fandoms, but the active ones don't do it for me, even if I like the canon material.

I've never been able to click with video games the same ways seemingly 97% of people in my life have (even my dad is addicted Street Fighter 2 and Tekken).

Right now it's interview with the vampire and Andor. IWTV seems like such a fun fandom but I am so not interested in toxic characters being toxic to each other right now. Andor is pretty triggering for me
