I don't care how my sandwich is cut, I just want one where things don't go spilling out everywhere while I'm eating it.

French macarons aren't that tasty; they're just impressive because they're cute, can be made in so many varieties, and is hell to perfect (and hellishly easy to ruin - even if you've made them perfectly before)
