Too damned many, mostly on Youtube.
A lot of my favorites have successfully gone pro, so it’s kind of tricky to classify them as fan artists any more. The Vocaloid, Star Trek, Star Wars, Transformers, Homestuck, and Doctor Who fandoms have some exceptional fan animations.
