Why youtube ads in particular?

Bruh ...

I hate ads as much as the next person but I don't see the logic in blaming the actors . Actors gave to get PAID they can't live off of dreams and ideals. And it's rough out there with big corpos trying to screw actual artists and actors at every turn to save a dime .

Shit take . Blame YouTube/Google. Actors didn't demand mid video ads

I personally would aim more to big companies and YouTube itself than people trying to pay their bills.

I have bigger beef with youtube for introducing pop-up ads on their own web site and nearly taken to a whole other web site when I had actually tapped on something else because of it.

Elijah Wood's AFK Arena ads were kinda funny though.

It wasn't until I started reading the comments that I realized you might mean "actors" as in celebrity/recognizable movie actors and not commercial actors. Given that - outside of Youtuber ad reads - most commercials I see on YouTube are not dramatically different than what I see on TV, I couldnt figure out why you would have such distain for people acting in commercials that happen to appear on YouTube.

Even if you probably meant celebrity actors, I still don't know why you hate it if the commercial is on YouTube specifically. Celebrities doing commercials has a long history, and I've seen the same commercials play on YouTube, TV, streaming, before a movie in the theater, and even an audio version on the radio. This kind of makes me think you don't consume any other media/use any other platforms.
