There was a TV adaptation of Terry Pratchett's Night Watch novels from his Discworld series, but unfortunately it was not faithfully adapted and not well reviewed. It's called The Watch, if you're interested.

However, the novels are fantastic and I highly recommend them if you're looking for something (not TV, sorry) to scratch that itch. If you haven't read them already, I suggest checking them out.
