Kinda yes but kinda no. The nameless ghouls are largely kept out of the lore and only exist to play the songs live. (The idea was that they'd be literally nameless and interchangeable, but the band went to court over that.) Because they have charismatic stage presences and get pretty fanservicey with each other, the current roster of ghouls is a big draw for the fanbase. Which I understand and am on board with; they're lovely and fun folks.

Doesn't explain why everyone raises Cain when they see "unmasked ghoul" content but every single piece of Dewther fanart I've seen looks exactly like Per and Chris, though.
