Take the excuse the new job gives you and say you can't make it to [bar] on Friday. It's okay to decline things if they put more stress on you!

Boy do I hear you on the mom friend who forgets that some people still full-time jobs. I have one friend who always suggests meeting up during the week in the morning or afternoon and I'm like, no. Like the last dozens of times you've suggested that, I'm at work during that time!

At one point I genuinely wondered if she was trying to push me out of the friends group since I'm the only one without kids. It's completely normal that everyone meets during the day! I'd do that too if I wasn't working. It's just weird when she'll go "it's been so long since we all got together!" and then consistently suggests times when I'm clearly not going to be available. And then acts as if I'm the one who makes scheduling things difficult, as if a regular 9-5 office job isn't the most basic of schedules.

Yeah I am absolutely using it! But I am sad that I keep missing things because scheduling and just working sucks. And sometimes I am just Like That.
It's so bewildering, because most moms in our friend group have older children and they do work. And she also sort of acts like we are unreasonable. And not her timetables like from 9 to 12 on Wednesday morning every second week
