This is a weird one.
I read part of a sci-fi book when I was a teenager (in 90s) And the only thing I remember that people stopped having body hair at some point. And if you have some hairs it considered really cool. There was a woman with dyed green mustache.
I think it was some stupid soft core porn. But as a really hairy and self-conscious about it teen I was obsessed.

That sounds like an interesting story premise! I'm sorry I can't help you, but I don't think I ever read anything like that.

For what it's worth, it seemed downright bizarre to me how much people idealize women having thick, abundant hair on their heads, while stigmatizing it everywhere else.

IKR? I have fine hair but *cough* a lot of it. So beauty standarts are especially painful to me

I am pretty sure I am not going to find this book and it's going to remain a mystery. I read a lot of weird sci-fi as a teen
