Any tv show under ten episodes per season would be better being a movie. Just trim the staring and forced miscommunication scenes from the middle four episodes and recut it as a movie.

I really think you haven’t seen enough good miniseries.

In fact, I can think of two specific miniseries that were turned into films and the pacing is clearly worse for it.

Agreed but I make a distinction between 2020s tv shows and earlier miniseries. Many miniseries were amazing! But now that all tv shows are mini series, they just suck.

Might be a matter of taste, nonny. I recently watched the four-hour-long Das Boot miniseries, and quite prefer it to the movie, even though the movie is amazing.
