I wish showrunners would realize that just because the lead characters of a show don't know something, doesn't need to mean that the audience shouldn't already be aware. Bending the story like a pretzel to keep something from the audience, just for the sake a of two-bit shock twist at the end of a season does not a good show make. [Relevant: Star Trek Discovery and Rings of Power]
