we used to watch this as a family when I was a kid - maybe 9 or 10? I loved it! And it went into reruns when I was older, and I caught a couple and was astonished by how silly it actually was. "mum, did you think it was cheesy when we were all watching it? I thought you loved it!" and she laughed - she thought it was ridiculous, but liked the whole family sitting down to watch the same thing.

Anyway, so much of my adulthood has been realising that my parents did many things for me & my siblings that were not for their enjoyment or to their taste, but because they loved us.
