Big same. I've been coming to FS since way back in the non-numbered wild comments day sin LJ. I'll take a break now and then, but it always makes me so happy when I decide to check back in and I see it alive and kicking. I don't have many fandom community anymore, so this place is filling that void for now.

I wish there was some award we could give Case for keeping this place going. It's got to be the longest continuous community I've ever been a part of, and I am thankful and impressed.

I kind of wish I had not deleted my accounts so I could come back as my old names, but at this point I don't even remember them.

Big same too...I've been coming here since 2010, although I changed my username when we made the move to dreamwidth. I remember when we used to do the "friending memes" that were basically just non secret posts that served a similar purpose to the general comments. Posting pet photos or the like. I miss those a bit in terms of how many more of us there were back then and how much livelier it was, but I do not miss the brigading from somethingawful and ONTD that we used to get.

So funny because I was just today thinking fondly of the random friending meme posts we would have! I made some good friends that way, though sadly we all drifted apart eventually. Still, fun times.

I'm so glad that this has been going for so long. Its one of the reasons why I keep coming back to DW. I miss using Livejournal, but had deleted my old accounts and have been intimidating myself out of regularly updating my DW account since 2012 lol, so being active here with the option to be anonymous has been awesome :D

I browsed F!S daily in high school, I remember back before each secret had a comment thread, so I had to CTRL+F to find responses to a specific one posted. Even in the 2010s when journal sites dwindled, I'd backread out of boredom. It's a comforting constant.

comforting is such a good word for the feeling I get when I come visit. I've been coming around here for a while (probably not as long as you -- there are certainly some names members I remember and some dramas that went down -- like I still remember the movie streaming nights). Anyhow, like others ITT, this is my only fandom (and online, really) interaction space, and I'm grateful to have it. Than you, Case! and thanks to all the folks who come on, even the lurkers :)

F!S is the only community I've ever feel a part of and that's... kind of depressing since I've always been anon here.
I just like the freedom it comes with the non-commitment to post or comment often if at all. I've been browsing the site every single day since 2010, but I've had months where I was too overwhelmed by life or simply too depressed to write even a single line, but since nobody could know that I didn't feel any pressure.
I'm really grateful for this place. On F!S I've had anons helping me personally with some personal problems, a place to occasionally vent, a place to discover new and old fandom I've never heard of (and consequently some of my favourite shows!), a place to star practising writing in English without fearing judgement too hard (I'm so sorry ahaha) and generally a chill (most of the time anyway) community to spend my time online.

I do too fear F!S's death. I'm very attached to this place and I don't think I'll ever be able to let it go...

I don't know what year I began visiting FS, but I remember the LJ days, the days before the comment section was numbered. The comment threads were so chaotic, and the comm was so much bigger! How did we manage to communicate??

I have my ups and downs with this comm but Case had always been solid and overall I've had some amazing strangers give me much needed compassion and wise words.

Grateful that this place is still running!
