100% agree, I missed it. I'm glad especially kids shows are bringing back actual songs for the openings. It's an important part of the show-watching experience!

Hate it. The one thing I really miss about Netflix is that I can't skip the openings when I'm pirating shows.

edgy.

da

I hope no one who likes show music is advocating for forcing people to watch it. (I love being able to skip stuff, too.) But I kind of appreciated the reach that *having a really catchy song associated with a fun show* gave it. Because fans would learn it and sing it and filk it with ridiculous alternate lyrics and just ... love the heck out of it, too.

I love a good theme song and credits!

Yeah, a good theme song is so much fun

Huh. Alan Walker's wikipedia page has a quote where he says, "I think sometimes people focus too much on having the best drum sample or having the perfect drum beat for a song or the perfect bass line, but at the end of the day, the audience, they don't think about whether the drums sound cool or if the bass sounds amazing, it's all about the melodies. You won't be singing and going around beatboxing to the beat – most likely – or trying to remember where the bass line goes. You'll be going around trying to remember the melody of the song or the vocals. That is actually what I want to try and focus on in my music, because I've always been a fan of melodies."

And I'm like ... that seems like the most obvious statement possible, but in fact: the rest of a song is embellishment to me, compared to the melody.
