...speaking as a queer dude here, they all should seem quite young because the definition of being a twink includes being a young man or having a very youthful appearance. Twink doesn't really apply to like 99% of people in their thirties, as much as many queer dudes in their thirties might wish it did, and oh boy, lots try. Often embarrassingly.

At least in my circles, people seem to have stopped saying “queen.”

I don't get what that has to do with the definition of twink, but... good for them if that's what they want to do? Unsure how to respond to this non-sequitur.

I meant that when you’re too old to be a twink, you can be a queen. People just keep trying to be twinks, though.

That's... not what queen means, either. Queen is an attitude, not an age/body type. It also comes with an association with femme-ness which twink does not.

Twink, bear/cub, otter, foxes, et cetera are body types. Queen, daddy, "femme", "masc" et cetera are attitudes. You cannot be both a twink and a bear at once. You can be a bear and a daddy, though. You cannot be a cub and an otter at once. You can be an twink and a teen queen, though.

It's pretty straightforward to me.

you should try reading about gay terminology sometime. it's pretty interesting.
