Eh.

From when she left GG to 2018, she was doing pretty good. She had some solid box office hits and some pretty well-regarded critical darlings (people ADORED A Simple Favor). And she had a huge hit this year with It Ends With Us. But for 2019-2023 she was only in one thing and it bombed so that kind of killed her momentum over the last few years. and she also has a bunch of kids now so I assume that was part of the reason she wasn't acting more during that time, and obviously there was the pandy.

So, I would actually say she's been a pretty bankable midlist star on the whole and I think she'd probably look a whole lot better if she'd continued acting consistently the last few years.

The Town is her only work between GG and marriage that had any acclaim but tbf there wasn’t a whole lotta time between the show ending and her marrying. Most of her filmography is flops.

Just because she was in a movie after her marriage, it doesn't mean that her success in that movie should be attributed to Ryan Reynolds. That is actually extremely sexist.

I don't even like Blake Lively especially but it's just some kind of weird grudge-y revisionist history to act like she hasn't been in hits.

She’s been in three hits. Two of them involved her husband. It isn’t a sexist thing, it’s a Blake Lively has always counted on those around her for her success thing.

The Shallows and It Ends With Us were both big hits Reynolds had nothing to do with, and Age of Adaline and A Simple Favor were both minor hits that again Reynolds was not involved in. Those 4 movies did like $600 million in combined box office against a combined budget of like $80 million. That's not a bad track record.

Um, he rewrites every script for her movies and has for the last 8-9 years. This is direct from both their mouths during many separate interviews this summer. And the marketing campaign for This Is Us featured Ryan heavily.
