in two of my fandoms, users who really pride themselves on not being ~*parasocial*~, to the point of admonishing others, speculated that the creators in those fandoms wouldn't do something based on either their personal judgement of that creator or some knowledge of the creator's personal life....and were very wrong!

it happened weeks ago, the things they were wrong about were very irrelevant, but it still makes me laugh
