Well...this is me

I'm trying to remember my roster of webcomics from back in the day - QC, Something Positive, Octopus Pie, MegaTokyo, Wigu, Shortpacked, that one set in a movie theatre, that one about the robots, Hark! A Vagrant, Pennie & Aggie, A Softer World, Scary-go-round. That dinosaur one with the same panels each time.
A dozen variations of 'two sarcastic gamers and a girl'

I did a reread from the first comic sometime last summer, when work was quiet. It's not even like it was ever astonishingly good. But there used to be, I don't know, actual conflict moving a story on, some interesting ideas, particularly when he started thinking more about the AI in his world. And certainly his art has really improved - but mostly so that there can be more tits&ass robots in athleisure on screen. Moray seems like the end result of all of this, and it's so dull.

I'm glad I'm not the only who feels this way! Really, I should've known it was the beginning of the end for me when Willow and Iris starting to take a bigger role in the comic, because they annoy the ever-loving fuck out of me, but even they can't compete with the sheer, pointless stupidity of Cubetown and everyone in it. It's basically every lazy, half-assed "teehee lolrandom quirky mad science with sexy robots!" joke on the internet all rolled into one big, exhausting heap of annoyance. Also, Elizabeth is the worst.

ughhh Willow & Iris, I'd blocked them from my mind. Ohhh the grumpy one likes the oblivious sunshine one? cmon man, what are we doing?

I couldn't pinpoint when I lost any real interest in it, but generally I agree with this secret. At this point I'm really only still reading it because I've been doing it for so long. But given recent comics, you get a feeling he might be trying to wind it up. I'm willing to stick it out to the end if it's relatively nigh.
