I think you really should read another book. It's okay to take good things from it but there is the whole world out there

Nah, it's just the assumption that everyone who really loves a certain book series clearly has never read another book is so endlessly dumb and oozing this sense of faux superiority on the basis of being dumb that its easier to assume you're trolling rather than actually that pathetic.

I don’t think people are dumb for being fans of HP. It’s a fun series and an enjoyable read.

It’s also extremely derivative and full of tropes that have been done much better by other authors. The same is true of fantasy movies and tv shows.

So yes, if an adult is only into HP, of course I’m going to assume they have somehow lived without being exposed to any of the countless other fantasy stories and worlds that have been created.
