(Anonymous) 2024-09-28 05:02 am (UTC)(link)There was a SoulMate!AU for DC comics where the first words your soul mate said were tattooed on you. Every other fic like that includes drama centered around their words being vague or ominous BUT THIS FIC included the world building detail that EVERYONE introduced themselves with their full name and home town. And there were radio shows that were just people saying their full names and hometowns for hours and hours that you could listen to while you slept. Like, society acknowledged this thing and culture and media and capitalism incorporated it. And now I can't read any other because WHY would you just say "Hey man, nice hair" to a stranger ever?
In general, yes, I want some lore. I want to know the civil rights situation for subs/omegas. I want to know how human families are different with kids born in litters. I want to know who inherits: the oldest son or the oldest alpha. Smut is great, and great smut can say things.
