Assuming OP was correct that they visit Disney World and not Disneyland (and that’s hard to tell because it’s actually Walt Disney World and often folks DO mean Disneyland)…
They should be fine. The California park is awful and always has been. That’s the whole reason the Florida park exists. If you read the notable incidents for the parks in Florida, they aren’t related to ride operation or maintenance. And having been a witness to someone falling getting onto a slow moving story ride (the old Snow White) WDW used to have a policy that guests could refuse slowing or stopping the ride for them. It was super common for older people who needed the ride paused to insist that they didn’t.

I know the full name is "Walt Disney World" but almost everybody just says "Disney World".

Most places online people will type out Walt just to avoid the common confusion with Disneyland. If someone doesn’t, they usually mean Disneyland.

there is both a casual sort of air of smug superiority here and the assumption that everyone else is 'really' dumb that are rubbing me the wrong way...

You guys have way to many theme parks.
*confused screams

The Florida Disney is even more confusing because it isn’t a park, it’s four parks. Walt Disney World is made up of the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. Plus most of their resorts have stuff you should see and they also have a place called Downtown Disney which is but isn’t a Disney place. It’s all very unusual and confusing.

AYRT
*more confused screams*
Tbf I am not into theme parks to start with though (we hadn't have them when I was a child, and I've only been in a Disneyland Paris when I was a teen. As an adult I find it a nightmare). But this is much too much

Lol even Disneyland Paris has two seperate parks now.

This is why I mean the Florida parks when I say Disney and Disneyland if I mean Disneyland (Anaheim). That's how we differentiated it at the travel agency I used to work at many moons ago.
