You might get more sympathy if you targeted the work, and not the people writing it…
This is exactly my problem with the secret. Fandom is for anyone who wants to participate. I filter out a lot of fic that is obviously not at the standard I prefer to read. But I’m still glad those authors are writing it! Badfic has always existed and honestly I hope it always does. I hope fans continue to get so consumed by ideas that they churn out fic for every fantasy and wish and exploration of whatever lights their fire.
