"social media breaks are beneficial" is like "yoga is beneficial" but it won't cure actual diseases. people have accosted her in public IRL when she wasn't working/on stage too

like, "she needs to get off the internet" is NOT a solution to her actual problem, which is less doomscrolling and more "some people have no fucking boundaries"

Did... did anyone actually claim that taking a break from social media would magically and 100% cure whatever's going on with her? Who are you arguing with here?

Look, people are shits, there's no denying that. But there's a limit to how much you can control the actions of others. Sometimes removing yourself from a toxic situation, even briefly, is all you can do. Just because something is "only" beneficial and not a complete cure doesn't mean it's worthless, surely.
