this is such a weird thing to say, like it feels like you don't understand the difference between print media (where the non-endorsement happened) and the internet, which is where people read it. she wasn't on the internet when she said she wasn't endorsing harris. she was wildly...doing her job as a popstar and speaking to press lmao. the problem is not that she's online. the problem is that her popstar persona is being young, outspoken, and political, and so she would get this response irrespective of being online

like most things, responses only sometimes change internet fervor for the worse because they are directly dependent on people sharing the original and the response. i don't think that really changed anything. the frothy were already frothy from the non-internet media appearance. everyone else had moved on.
