The last part is so weird to me- I actually hit a major uncanny valley wall when I hear remastered versions of nostalgic songs that have different vocals now. It's basically the same song but off/wrong compared to what's anchored in my brain/memories and I can't get nostalgic over that.

Yeah. Basically this. I have a playlist that's a JRPG vocal track list, and SSSC and EB are on them. Since I listen to it from time to time, I just can't with the new singer.

I loathe Kid Rock not so much for his many very bad decisions, but for making me excited that I was about to hear Werewolves of London on the store music playlist and then letting me down. Constantly.
