I’m only going to touch on the pairing shown and not address any of the other stuff because I think that’s been done enough already. And I can only hope I’ve waited long enough anfter the post went up to avoid getting dogpiled.

I absolutely adore Ororo and Logan. They are a super cute couple and I love the way she puts him in her place. But there are some definite problematic things with the pairing that I didn’t notice until I found out how much POC hate the ship. And it’s impossible to untangle how much the change in Storm is related to the ship, the original timeline movie trilogy, or if it’s just because her character always had some issues from the beginning and the curtain is just being pulled back now. Different fans have cited different reasons for the problems. And I’ll be honest: I preferred not knowing because I thought the impact of the early 2000s movies on the comics was awesome and made for a lot of fun stories, the biggest one being Ororo and Logan.

The X-Men have been on such a roller coaster. From economic powerhouse in the '90s to pariah in the 2010's. The movies, the cartoons, the legal rights, it's all been such a mess. I'm not surprised most characters have been through the wringer.

I will be perfectly honest in that I really don't like Wolverine/Storm and never have, but has absolutely nothing to do with their races
