I’m not convinced a good person is electable as an American president. Even aside from the compromises you make to get that well-known, the median American voter is so fucking terrible.

Along the same lines, I remember as a kid hearing someone complaining that Clinton thought he was better than everyone and was too full of himself and that was why they wouldn't vote for him, and I remember thinking "wouldn't someone have to be, to be able to not only run but be a good president?"

I've seen that clip going around recdently where someone was implying that Kamala not having biological kids of her own meant she didn't have anything to "keep her humble" and aside from the absolute WTAF of the implications of that mindset towards those of us who don't have kids, like you said, that seems an especially stupid thing to worry about for someone who hopes to run an entire freaking country.

And that mindset tends to only be towards women. Because women need kids.
