Favorite animals

What animals are your favorites? Pictures are always a nice bonus.

The Indian Giant Squirrel is one of my faves. I think squirrels are neat and this one is also giant and so pretty.

Otters
Martens and Fishers but not muskrats because they stole my favorite socks and chewed them up
Chipmunks
Bats
Pretty much all tiny adorable rodents
Lemurs
Wolverines (I have participated in tracking programs and would do anything to actually see one in the wild)
Foxes
Reindeer
Elk
Deer
And basically any mammals living in the forests of North America

Bears. I can watch bear videos all day. So friend-shaped!

Cows are surprisingly interesting and pretty cute. And foxes are just the best.

Besides cats (always #1) and dogs, I love penguins, every species of wild cat, octopi, red pandas, komodo dragons, cobras, vipers, garter snakes, all snakes really, axolotls, foxes, owls, eels, seals, seahorses, squirrels (especially flying squirrels), fennec foxes, and sugar gliders.

Snakes terrify me! But I recently attended a mystery animal meet and greet that turned out to be a garter snake and I fell in love with him. And I’m intellectually aware of snakes’ roles in the ecosystem so even though I internally flip out when I see one in my yard, I’m very happy that we have them contributing to the balance <3

Danger noodles have never personally terrified me, and I've always loved them. I love the big and dangerous ones. But I also love the cute little garter snakes who are just as snaky and doing their snaky thing.

I love cats and snakes, too! My favourite snakes are plains hognose lavender morph and california red-sided garter snakes. Love all cats, big, little, no tails, bob tails, even hairless.

Oh man, that california red-sided garter snakes is adorable. I hadn't heard before, but it may now become a favorite. The lavender morph is pretty cute too. Snakes are just so adorable, IMHO.

And yes, cats are the best, regardless of which species. I'm entirely biased, but that's allowed.

I love almost all animals, about the only ones I can think of that I dislike are jellyfish, mice and roaches.

My own top favorites: Bats (especially flying-fox bats), sloths, pangolins, panda bears, raccoons, geckos, rabbits, brown bears, sun bears and elephants.
