I'm also a real-life victim, and don't believe there's any justification in being awful to a person just because they have a differing opinion on a fictional character.

I'm sorry for whatever you have been through, but there's nothing justifying what you have said to philstar. Nothing.

Certainly it's fine to defend the character you like, but it's never okay to do this using ad hominem attacks.

My sympathies for another person end with their abuse of another person. By that I mean I hold space for the victim they were, but I don't condone whatever horrible behavior they are exhibiting now.
