I was in the "I hated it before it was cool to" camp and I was critical of JKR's spineless centrism and being insensitive on race topics, her gender politics were a new reveal even to me. It frustrates me how few people cared until their pet bigotry topic was finally hit.

I'm waiting patiently for the day people realize that caring about things that affect you first is normal, human, and good. You have to help yourself before you're able to help others.
