I'm ace as well and go through phases where I read ALL THE SMUT for whatever character or pairing I'm into. I just find it really emotionally satisfying. Idk I've tried reading erotica or orginal smut but it does nothing for me but bore me or make me cringe, but fandom smut is where it is at.

I'm definitely not ace. But since my hysterectomy, I've lost 90% of my sex drive. And yet I mostly still read PWPs. Reading the connection between the characters, the characterization that is often there in PWPs, the short fics that manage to do a lot with fewer words. PWPs just work well even apart from the sex part.

Also, it being fic makes sense because you go in already knowing what sorts of things would hit those fulfillment/gratification/catharsis marks for the characters involved. Original smut is mostly anon porn so it doesn't hit the same targets

Ooooh, oh gosh this is gorgeous so yeah I have no idea what people are complaining about either. But then C-drama fandom is fucking weird, I watch the shows but ignore the fandoms because they're always so OTT about everything, including the actors they supposedly like.

I'm not ace but reading smut isn't about finding it sexy. Like sure if I'm feeling horny it will affect me in that way, but when I'm not I'm reading it like any other fic where it's about the characters connecting and smut is a part of that.

To me it bugs me a little bit just because of how popular it is and how many crossovers it seems to get wedged into; not that there's anything wrong with that, just bugs me when it's something I already don't care for.

Had my niblings over. We ate a ton of chicken nuggets and fries from McDonalds. Now I'm laying down and trying to recover from that. Lol. Went on a walk this morning because the weather is nice.
