Aw, sorry to hear that, Anon. Probably doesn’t help that the D&D experience is HEAVILY dependent on your DM and the group you’re playing with. If you don’t click with the DM’s style or the people in the group, it wouldn’t be much of an experience.

100% this. I've had some groups that were absolutely amazing and I still think of them fondly years later and other groups that were just solidly "meh" to the point where it's like "oh, right, we did that one" because it just didn't stick with me at all.

I agree. It all depends on who you're playing with, especially the DM.
