Not the person you asked, of course, but for me, the one comment I got that only pointed out a typo without engaging with the fic at all otherwise was pretty disappointing. It was during a time when I barely ever got any comments and I was so happy to get one only for it to just say "hey, you misspelled this word". Like, yeah, I always find typos in my writing later because apparently that's just what it is, but please, if you wanna point them out, also engage with the fic at least? Like, I probably would still feel a little pang of embarassment but if someone gave me a nice comment engaging with the fic and then tacked on 'oh, and you also had a typo here', I would be a little weirded out, but it would be alright I think.
