Disappointed and angry. And scared. I don't even know. Do people not listen? This isn't just a matter of getting through another 4 years. Will there even be a functional government left after 4 years? Will there even be a functional country left? I genuinely don't know.

Same. I'm just kind of numb. I honestly thought we'd learned a lesson here, but... guess not. I'm so ashamed of this country.

People have a very short memory. And they clearly believe lies that they think sound good. And they find it easy and acceptable to blame a group of vulnerable people for all our problems rather than putting the blame where it actually belongs.

I honestly don't know. I'm terrified and seriously depressed and everyone around me is horribly naive/in denial and it's frustrating the fuck out of me. My entire family hates him, but they're convinced he can't actually do all the awful things he wants to, so I feel completely alone when I think about just how bad things could potentially get.

If I genuinely thought we only had 4 years to deal with, then I'd think "ok, we'll figure out a way to get through it somehow" but like you said...I honestly don't know how much longer the government or the country will last.

Beats me, all these hysterics as if the bills that needed paid yesterday will not need paid today, the same chores done, the same job going to. Nothing has changed, but you'd think the sky had fallen in or something.
