I hear you on this, anon. It's so frustrating, especially given how much work it can be sometimes to tailor something to a specific set of likes/requests. It feels like a slap in the face to not get any kind of comment. This has happened to me as well, more than once. I like exchange or events that require a comment or the recipient is subsequently banned. I've also participated in a regular exchange that gets a lot of the same participants and have said 'do not match me with this person' because that person hasn't commented on stuff I've written for them in the past. I'm not going to write for them again, ever.

(and truthfully, I've sometimes received stuff in exchanges that wasn't necessarily great, but I still really appreciate the effort put into it, and make sure to leave detailed and appreciative comments. so, sorry recipients who don't reply because maybe it's not 100% what you wanted...too bad. have some manners)
