The Palestine 'activists' are the ones that pissed me off the most. Honestly maybe it's unkind of me but I truly think some of them don't care about Gaza at all, they just want something to be morally superior about. Then when all the people they claim to want to help get killed, they'll get to sit proudly on their high horse claiming *they* never compromised their morals and voted for genocide, as if that's any comfort to the people who died or those who lost loved ones. Like 'well, my whole family died and my home is now luxury hotels but thank goodness you didn't ~compromise your principles~' Choosing not to pull the lever at all in the trolley problem does not absolve you from complicity when everyone dies.

On the other end of things, I saw someone who did not vote for Trump saying that the Democrats lost because they supported 'letting men in girls sports' and it is so fucking sad to me that people are already deciding the answer to winning elections is throwing the most vulnerable under the bus.

I wouldn't be surprised if their outrage was performative, at least for some, like the conservatives who pretend to care about fetuses but then refuse to help a child once born.

DA/NAYRT

Agreed. Watched a video weeks ago where the commentator said some on the left are just people whose whole point of life is to be "the underdog" so they will grasp at any straw to have the moral high ground as well as be the down trodden good guy.
They get to suffer because they don't agree with who is in charge but they will refuse to do the right thing and come up with excuses that to them gives them a moral right not to do the right thing.

Like it's not about doing what's right for all of us, they just want to bitch about how right they are and how wrong every one else is.

And I'm so tired. I was there when I was an edgy teenager/young adult, but when people I care about are being harmed, my righteous indignation means nothing if I'm not doing what I can to protect/help them.
It's a hard pill to swallow knowing these are the people who didn't vote and feel comfortable with it.
