I'm beginning to think this "The end of the world" stuff is either performative, or actual literal mass hysteria. And I think either way, and sense I try to speak will be seen as an attack. So I'm just going to stop trying to help people see sense. People want to believe their worst predictions because then it means that their emotional reactions are normal.

Trying to help them past it is the work of better more patient and more professionally trained people.

Trying to help - which I honestly tried to do - only makes people who WANT to be beyond help psychotically angry. I should have learned this lesson the last time we encountered this kind of mass hysteria. If they form their opinions based on the current era media, they're beyond help. I need to let that sink in.

My well wishes will remain, but they'll remain private. As long as people are only tormenting themselves, it's really none of my business. And even tho they REALLY want to be torturing someone else, I've seen this happen enough to know they wont.

So no. Nothing will change next election. They took an ego wound yesterday, and they will not let it heal, so they'll do the same shit, call the same people the same names, and win or lose they'll call for the same violence and violations they're calling for today. I just can't wait to see who the NEXT literally hitler guy is going to be.
