When did you know, in your heart, that Harris was going to lose?

Me? It was when they started posting those memes that said "ladies you can just tell your husband you are voting for Trump but vote Harris"; because not only did that have a ring of desperation, but it also displayed a stunning lack of insight and self awareness that they had just given tacit permission to reluctant Trump supporters to do the reverse. Just say they were voting Harris in order to get a quiet life, but never actually do so. That was when, if I'm being honest, I knew.

I was so mad when they kept saying that Biden had to step aside. That's basically when I figured we lost, but I was hoping I was wrong. We're a misogynistic society, no way are non-voters going to get fired up to vote for a woman.

Dems should've planned for a "better" candidate the day Biden took office in 2021, if they were just going to cast him aside like that. Just because a lot of people understood the homework assignment wasn't a guarantee that everyone else did.

The stupid ass news media joining in on the bullying while ignoring what Trump was doing and saying wasn't helping either. It's fucking laughable that they're now OH NOEZ!!!! A DICTATOR IS ABOUT TO TAKE OFFICE WHATEVER SHALL WE DO THAT WE COULD HAVE DONE BACK WHEN WE WERE NORMALIZING A CONVICTED FELON'S BEHAVIOR ON A DAILY BASIS???????? Like... fuck you. Part of me hopes he takes you down as part of the "fake news" media because he feels you didn't kiss his ass enough. (Part of me doesn't, of course, but I don't have a lot of faith in these organizations lately.)

(For the record, while I was ready to vote Biden before Harris took over, I do think someone other than Biden should have been campaigning from the start.)

I went to bed with a stone in my stomach. I knew that we wouldn't win enough electoral votes when I saw how close the fight was in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan. I just knew. The morning proved me right, and word that that man had actually won the popular vote was horrific. I'm working on returning to Canada.
