Of yeah, now that you mention it, this must have been what bothered me so much back in the day. That and those weird white gloves a lot of characters had.

I mean... The gloves had the practical purpose of having characters hands stand out in Black and white animation, before colour animation was a thing.

I recently finished reading the first volume of Blacksad and it has this exact problem, where everyone one but the 'pretty' women in the stories are more human-anthro that the other fully anthro characters around them.
