This is my dad's favorite book and he is not an ultra-leftist. He's a Democrat and probably closest to what ultra-leftists call a "lib."

I read the book because of his raving about it and liked it, but that was before the current political climate and I probably missed a bunch anyway, being a teenager.

The only clear memory I have is a description of one planet confusing someone from the other by having movies full of "jokes about copulation that didn't mention copulation" which I thought was pretty funny and made me really notice for the first time, hey, yeah, that's us.
