I can count on one hand* the number of games I have actually finished over the 30yrs I have been gaming. I just have always thought of the ones that keep me going until the very end as exceptional.

I'm inclined to agree. I'm extremely left-leaning and have been horrified at the past month but. Fandom is my happy place. I definitely don't want or need real life bullshit intruding on it.

+1000! I too believe that anyone who thinks that this 20 year old anon forum is not a incredibly conducive venue to have real, genuine heart to hearts about political issues is entirely devoid of empathy or imagination.

I've had this issue with a lot of games that have an extensive leveling system, especially several Shin Megami Tensei/Atlus games or games with a lot of optional sidequests. My problem is that I always want to still level up (reach a certain level, get certain skills maxed etc.) or complete some more side missions before the endgame and then I either get bored or burnt out and just... stop playing. And then I think, months later "oh hey, I could finally finish that game" and try to but fail miserably because I forgot half the game mechanics and the endgame content is too hard for someone who forgot the controls lol

Pretty much where I'm at. Extremely left leaning here, too. For me it's not about whether political discussion is good or should be had or not, but considering time and place. You can think someone is dumb to try to seriously argue on here with anons that are bound to be replying just to troll them, even if you agree with what the person is trying to say. It's watching others engage in exercises in frustration.

Eh. I don't engage often with the politics section (and TBH a lot of other controversial topics that pop up regularly or occasionally), even to the point of not scrolling and reading the threads/comments. So long as I can have spaces that are less tense/divisive, I don't really have an issue with the politics threads existing on here (at least, so far).
