What is everyone doing this weekend?

We might play some Marvel Rivals if we decide it is worth the queue. Otherwise, OW and FN all weekend after that brutal Thanksgiving/Birthday. Also, my nephew's esports team (school sponsored) made it to state! So he will be playing OW2 tomorrow for that game. Hoping he wins but just happy he enjoys going to school now. Lol.

Yes yes, I'm sure when she approved of Black Hermione, she was secretly cringing in disgust at the very idea and swallowing her bile for the express purpose of tricking us into thinking she's not racist. Just like when she told a kid who asked her a question at a local event that Dumbledore was gay, she was cackling maniacally in her head about her brilliant plan to trick the stupid gays into thinking she supported them and get worldwide acclaim for her allyship.

I wonder what the timeline looks like where Rowling took one look at social media and thought "ugh, looks like a pain" and never made any accounts anywhere.

She'd still be transphobic and racist and whatever else have you, but she'd never have fallen down the TERF rabbit hole and it wouldn't have become such a central feature of her personality. She'd just be an average thoughtless white cis woman about it.

Captain Kirk would NOT be a Slytherin! This was especially popular after the JJ Abrams movies.

(Also less strong opinion, but I will never shut up about how I think TOS Kirk roots for the Iowa Hawkeyes and AOS Kirk roots for the Iowa Cyclones. IYKYK)

I mean it's pretty obvious that at those points she wasn't (yet) racist or homophobic on purpose, and probably believed as most not-particularly-thoughtful people do that "not hateful on purpose" was the same thing as "entirely free of prejudice". This was before she went down the Twitter TERF rabbit hole, remember.

I find it grotesque, despicable, and mind-boggling that we are, apparently, TESTING OUR FELLOW HUMANS to make sure they're the 'right' gender, and doing this based almost 100% on how those fellow humans look and play a sport.
