Weekend Plans?

What is everyone doing this weekend?

We might play some Marvel Rivals if we decide it is worth the queue. Otherwise, OW and FN all weekend after that brutal Thanksgiving/Birthday. Also, my nephew's esports team (school sponsored) made it to state! So he will be playing OW2 tomorrow for that game. Hoping he wins but just happy he enjoys going to school now. Lol.

Actually a bit of a busy weekend. 2 hour massage tomorrow morning. Concert in the evening (Naughty Noel).

Sunday going to see Moana 2.

I bought a ps5 last week and had immediate regrets because of the controllers killing my sad arthritic hands. I had no idea off set joysticks were so important for my joints. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ So this week I bought a (stupid expensive) controller that is shaped more like the xbox ones I am used to and I am going to set it up and test it out tomorrow. Fingers crossed it makes the ps5 playable for me!

The latest Dragon Age! I got a couple hours of playtime before my thumb joints just quit on me so I am hoping to be able to dive back in. And of course gotta get my Fortnite time in.

Ooof good luck. Same happened to me, my hands wre okay with PS2 through 4 but suddenly the 5 controllers are a big nope. I hate having to change all my plugins and hard drive back over to the 4 just because those controllers don't hurt. Baldur's Gate isn't worth the pain.

Nursing the swollen tonsil on the right side of my throat whilst trying to finish my holiday shopping (want get fandom shirts/hoodies for some people via online and maybe a visit to Barnes and Noble if I'm not too under the weather).
I haaaaaaate when I catch a cold. Hoping to go see a doctor about getting my tonsils removed.

Oh no! I have really bad tonsils. I get tonsil stones every week. Abs i get strep about every two months. I looked into getting them removed but the recovery at my age is brutal. 🫠

Not so many plans. I need to do a side job. Also I am both on a period and have a migraine. I am glad that I am this outlier who has actually less painful periods with age. But headache sucks.
I need to do a lot of different shopping I've been putting off so probably going to try at least do some

I am from non Catholic country so no Christmas shopping gladly. (We are affected by Black-Friday-all-winter-celebrations etc bullshit but not that badly). It's more finally I've got some steady income at least for now so I need things that are not instant survival or instant gratification based.

Congrats to your nephew!

I'll attend the end of semester sparring. Hopefully we'll get to do King of the Hill sparring games, as it's been ages since last time. Then there will be hangout at one club member's home.

Maybe I'll go to a Christmas concert in Gothenburg on Sunday as my HEMA coach is in that choir. Also, the Scifi bookstore is open, so I'll swing by there too.

I did get to do KotH sparring. It was great. I also got in a round of dagger.

Not so great was two blows to my hand so now I've got two blue fingers despite wearing gloves. I'll live, at least nothing is broken.

Nah, most of it is bruises but nothing serious as far as I've seen. I've heard that broken fingers are a thing, because hand hits are easy to land. We use heavy duty fencing mask, thick padded jacket and pants, hard plastic chestplate underneath and hard shell protection for arms and legs and gloves.
