This is a dumb conspiracy theory.

Not really. The cops have abysmal solve rates and the story is way too neat and tidy for their corporate overlords.

What is reading compensation?

I'm sorry, I don't think anyone is going to pay you for reading.

You'd have to be a librarian, a literature or journalism teacher, or a critic for that.

They put out in the media, "hey, here are some picture of this guy and he could be literally anywhere, so if you see someone who looks like him, call us, no matter where you are" and someone saw him and called them. It's really not that difficult to understand.

And he just so happens to be someone a lot of the left won't like while also being easy to catch.

Check out his Goodreads account, if it's still up. He's been saying similar types of things for at least the last year. Corporations are evil, praising Ted Kaczynski, etc. If he's being framed, the police were awfully lucky to be able to find someone who said those types of things a long time ago, plus looks like the pictures caught on security footage.

I don't love corporations either and I'm not saying I don't understand, on an emotional level, why someone would do what he did (although to me, sure, CEOs suck and I'm not crying that the dude is dead, but no one's death, no matter how evil they are, would be worth spending the rest of my life in prison to me). But that said, I really don't understand why it's controversial to say that they appear to have caught the right guy? Honestly, I don't get it...whether it's this dude, or someone else, what difference does it make? Why are people so intent that it can't possibly be this specific guy, like they have some personal investment in him? I just really don't understand it.

I'm happily married, but the cops have a 2% solve rate and serve the rich. That's absolute fact. You don't go from so desperate you're gonna use fucking AI to help you figure out who it is to suddenly you've found everything all wrapped up in a neat little bow including a nice little motive that serves your rich overlords well and tears someone down from being an icon to the poor and suffering masses. It's too convenient and way too neat.
