Same, OP. Same. I'd say it gets easier--and maybe it is for some people--but unfortunately that has not been my experience so far. :C

Nah, it doesn't in my experience too. It's much easier to say "fuck off I like what I like" as a proper adult but the voice that tries to stop being yourself is as loud as ever. Especially since as an adult you have much more reasons to pretend (for your job etc)
