It’s pretty easy to see if it was posted by an official account or not. If you can’t tell the difference between Marvel Entertainment and badass69knifeblade, that’s on you.

No.

(Anonymous) 2024-12-19 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, because non-Marvel user accounts never post official trailers anywhere, anytime, ever.

The official trailers for anything are ALWAYS dropped by an official account. Usually it’s the studio but sometimes it’s a director’s or actor’s account. But it’s always easy to tell based on the account name as well as view and comment counts.

I don't think you are understanding the point.

Official trailers also get posted on unofficial channels. In fact, Youtube is full of channels like this.

And it’s super easy to avoid the unofficial channels and watch it on the official one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So?

(Anonymous) 2024-12-19 01:52 pm (UTC)(link)
How does this stop people from mislabeling their fan trailers?

You do know people create trailers for announced films, yes? In other words, an official trailer hasn't been made. So how does one watch an official trailer that doesn't exist?

You seem to be trying to "solve" a problem that the OP didn't present.

Yeah, a couple million subs and an obviously sketchy name like Screen Culture /s

That actually describes a whole bunch of legitimate media publicity channels

Doesn't it? I feel like I keep going to official, supposedly serious websites (paid for by a company that had a lot of money to spend on this sort of thing) and just thinking "you've got to be kidding me." It's gotten normal enough that I'd have trouble giving you individual examples, but man. It's both weird and a thing.
