Tangentially, I recently I came across videos where it looks like some of the actresses have some sort of beautify filter on and their faces look like the uncanny valley. I mean YKINMK but I honestly don't know how it isn't distracting. The animated/VFX'd face against a real body and setting is just... uncanny valley.

I've never used to Chinese beauty filter apps, only ever seen short clips of them being used in videos that discuss beauty standards and how filters/technology has rotted our brains to obsess over unattainable beauty standards, but I think they were using an app like that (because I've seen amateur porn videos where they used the dog Snapchat filter but those seemed to be self aware jokey videos that werent making me want to smash my screen and give me creepy chills whenever I see uncanny valley shit like human shaped sex dolls or wax figures of real people).
