I mean, personally, I am both concerned about them *and* concerned about me. I don't want them to suffer!

nayrt but same. Being concerned about catching it doesn't mean I don't care about the person who's sick. I just don't want to get sick myself, or worse, pass it on to elderly, vulnerable relatives I see frequently.

I mean... I'm not happy they're sick, but there's so little room in my mind to think about them when I'm so worried about myself. Sickness around my workplace has been so bad in the winters and the last thing I want is to use up all my sick leave and lose paid days or get fired. As long as they're not dying, it doesn't even cross my mind to be that worried about them.
