Dumb rant

I'm not really into social media, so I was happy to find an obscure message board for my fandom. After lurking for a bit, I got the vibe that it seemed pretty cliquey and insular, but I thought that was just my anxiety talking and decided to post...turns out my initial instinct was right, and the people there are just rude assholes.

Guess I'll go back to just watching the show by myself. *sigh*

I know this is a massively dumb thing to be bothered by, so...anyone else have dumb things that have bothered them recently?

That isn’t a dumb thing to be upset about. I love talking to other fans about my fandoms and it would crush me to find a group thinking we could talk only to be turned away. I’m really sorry that happened to you :(

Not dumb at all thread OP. Fandom is supposed to bring people together, so to be ignored in a fan forum is disappointing.

My rant: I feel plagued by minor inconveniences of the dumbest proportions - as if it's a test from a higher being or something.
After spending hours wrapping up presents at my parents' house, I was simply placing my purse into the passenger seat of my car and my vape pen rolls out and falls right between the side of the passenger seat and cup holder. I try to grab the pen but it only slips deeper. I get to the passenger side door and the more I try to push the seat cushion aside the deeper the stupid fucking pen falls down. I spend about 3 minutes trying to dig under the seat to grab the pen. I eventually am able to get it, but fuck shit like this.

Can I ever simply get from point A to Point B without some sort of interference???? It always happens when I'm at my most agitated.

Burnt toast theory blah blah blah....yeah sometimes it's really fucking annoying, fuck the lesson about patience.

Ugh, that kind of thing is the worst. My mom and I always call it "I can't do anything right" days. Like some days, no matter what you do, it seems like everything always goes wrong. It's so fucking frustrating.

This is SO incredibly dumb, but...

When entertainment sites say 'ships instead of ships. It makes them look so old and out of touch to me. Like, the term is at least 30 years old at this point, the fact that you still write it that way makes you look EXTRA cringey. There's no other shortened word that I know of where people insist on putting an apostrophe at the beginning, and it just irritates me.

Oh, OP, this sucks.

My pretty small fandom has this large ongoing fanfic everyone is obsessed about. It's decently written but I find it annoying because it's author enjoys writing the Angst. It's a whole lot of words of adult men just inventing ways to Suffer. And Suffer. And Sufffferr. And maybe to suuuuffferrrrr so more for no fucking reason. This fic annoys me so much. The worst thing that there are actually fanfics of this fanfic but badly written lol.

(tbf I wouldn't have mind this fic but we don't have a lot of those, especially with this exact characters. So I am suffering for no reason even more than this guys :D)
