Well, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed Nosferatu, and tonight we got in touch with my-father-in-law, and he's able to speak. Roughly, but in coherent sentences. This is a great relief even if he is still not up to being visited.

Question about Tumblr

So I've had an account for years but never really did anything with it. My current main fandom seems to be primarily on Tumblr so I've been on there more lately. There's a character (from a different fandom entirely!) who is frequently tagged in posts that shares a lot of similarities with my ex. It wasn't a good relationship at all and it really bothers me to see stuff about this guy. I've done what I can to avoid him, I never go on the tag for the show he's actually in, but there's a decent amount of overlap between the two fandoms, and people like to make posts comparing/contrasting them, and tag it with both. I've blocked the tag, but I still get this message:

"This post contains filtered tags."

that lists the tag. What good does blocking do if I still have to see it?

How do I block the tag so that posts involving that tag just do not show up at all and there's no mention of them?

If you're using the app, I have no idea. If you're on browser, you'll want to get the Xkit extension. It has a setting to force your blocked tags to never show up at all, as if the post never existed.
