Serious question, how?

how's it Biden's fault? That demands a long explanation. Starting from Maidan with the evidence of foreign involvement. There were people set on fire in the house that all died. Basically there's a lot of photos and videos from that day showing "pro-Russia" men with red shoulder bands speaking to Ukrainian police. There's also a sniper shooting at protesters trying to leave. And a cookie monster herself of course. Pro Russian regions, the ones that have suffered the most, are basically the ones with 80%+ ex USSR Russian speaking population. The rest of the regions just wanted to have some peace. Zelensky worked as an actor in Russia, always spoke in Russian and looked like a safe pick over Poroshenko. It's a long talk but basically there was a civil war since 2014 in Ukraine.

Going forward there were peace talks that were all shot down. Merkel admited that the Minsk agreement served to buy time to rearm Ukraine... EU and USA want to fight to the last Ukrainian.
